Working Principle of Solar Water Heating Systems:
The Sun’s rays fall on the collector panel (a component of solar water heating system). A black absorbing surface (absorber) inside the collectors absorbs solar radiation and transfers the heat energy to water flowing through it. Heated water is collected in a tank which is insulated to prevent heat loss.

- Total Costs per System: Rs.36,906/- (inclusive of all taxes).
- Beneficiary Share: Rs.18,453/- (to be deposited in the form of Banker’s Cheque or Demand Draft in favour of The Director, MANIREDA).
- State’s Share: 50% (Rs.18,453/-)
- Selection: Beneficiaries will be selected on first come first basis.
